An orientation program was organized on October 11, 2023, for the compulsory Arabic preparatory class students who started their education at our Faculty. The program, which took place with the presentation of Lecturer Hüseyin Güngör, began with the opening speech of our Faculty's Vice Dean Dr. Lecturer Osman Eraslan. Subsequently, Lecturer Asım Derda Köse provided information about the purpose of Arabic education, other educational opportunities of our Faculty and University, and student exchange programs such as Erasmus and Farabi. The program continued with the introduction of the teaching staff of the Department of Arabic Language and Rhetoric and their information about the courses. Afterwards, Research Assistant Meral Sabun shared her presentation introducing the Department of Basic Islamic Sciences, Dr. Lecturer Halil İbrahim Akkuş shared his presentation introducing the Department of Philosophy and Religious Sciences, and Lecturer Furkan Ceylan shared his presentation introducing the Department of Islamic History and Arts with the students. After a brief information session to inform students about the health services and family medicine unit of our University, Assoc. Dr. Orhan Gürsu delivered his presentation on "Behavioral Addictions: Stolen Attention". The program ended with the closing speech of our Faculty's Acting Dean Prof. Dr. Mehmet Karaca. We hope that our new academic year brings blessings to our students and our faculty.
