Our department, which carries out its activities with the vision of providing the necessary source language (Arabic) proficiency required for the efforts to read and understand the basic sources related to Şer’î sciences, aims to impart and develop morphology, syntax, reading, writing, listening-comprehension, speaking, and phonetic skills during the compulsory Arabic preparatory education phase. It is aimed to reinforce these skills that our students have acquired during the preparatory phase with rhetoric and Arabic language and literature courses in undergraduate education.
In line with this purpose, services are provided using classical and modern language teaching techniques. At the postgraduate level, studies are carried out to gain program competencies in advanced Arabic grammar topics, the structure of the Arabic language in detail, the history of classical and modern Arabic literature along with its periods, Arabic linguistics, and rhetoric.
