In the Department of Islamic Law, the practical aspect of a person's duties towards Allah, which are worships, the legal accumulation and tradition obtained through ijtihad based on the fundamental sources of Islam, the sources of religious-legal rulings and the methods followed in reaching these rulings, the philosophical foundations of the rulings, the institutions of the science of fiqh that have been transferred to our legal history, modern legal thought and the basic concepts and theories related to this field are examined. 

 

It is aimed that the student studying in this field will reach the competence to produce solutions to the problems of his era and society from the perspective of Islamic law by examining the existing literature in the field of Islamic law and understanding the basic principles and methodology related to the field. In this field, courses such as “Islamic Law”, “History of Islamic Law”, “Methodology of Islamic Law”, “Philosophy of Islamic Law”, “Comparative Islamic Law”, “Classical and Modern Fiqh Texts”, “Contemporary Fiqh Problems” are taught.
